We hope you weren’t planning to repair the 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX yourself; a new iFixit teardown has revealed that Amazon’s tablet isn’t very serviceable. While it’s easy to replace minor components like the headphone jack, major elements are fused together. You’ll have to remove the motherboard to replace the battery, for instance. There aren’t many surprising part choices inside the HDX, either, although we now know that LG supplies the 1,920 x 1,200 display.
